Adventure Fishing Camp at Christchurch School
While Christchurch School will no longer be running their Summer Camps on the River, we will continue to offer our very popular Adventure Fishing program at Christchurch in the summer of 2019. Essentially nothing will change with our fishing programs except that we will have more flexibility with our days regarding where and when we fish.
The overnight adventure fishing camps for boys and girls ages 12-16 who are looking for the next step in their fishing.
After arriving Sunday evening, Adventure campers will spend the week fishing the best waters the area has to offer. Situated in a prime location, this camp offers the unique opportunity to split time fishing both fresh and saltwater.
Campers fish a combination of private ponds for largemouth bass, scenic local rivers for panfish, bass, and catfish, shallow saltwater flats for redfish, speckled trout, and flounder, as well as a day fishing near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel targeting species such as Flounder, sharks, Spadefish, and Cobia with Captain Jorj Head.
When conditions are right, campers will enjoy our "River Monster Day" where we fish for giant flathead catfish.
New this year, we will include a beach cookout at New Point Comfort, where campers will enjoy eating some of their catch from the week and cooking smores around a camp fire.
Lodging/Food: Campers stay in the dorms at Christchurch School and eat most meals in the cafeteria.
Transportation: Transportation from the Richmond airport or train station is available. Contact us for details before arranging travel plans.
